SRO Cory Reeves Scholarship

The SRO Cory Reeves Scholarship was established to honor the compassion and dedication SRO Reeves has for GFHS students. Reeves graduated from GFHS in 1995 and from the University of Great Falls with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

Reeves started his law enforcement career in 1998 with the Lewistown PD and then transferred to the Great Falls Police Department in 2000. During his time at the GFPD, he trained 24 new police officers in the Patrol Division, was assigned to the Special Projects Unit, and served as the Police Association Treasurer for ten years before taking on his most beloved position as the School Resource Officer for Great Falls High School. Reeves served as the SRO at GFHS for nearly ten years before retiring in 2018 and then becoming the Undersheriff for the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office, where he officially retired from law enforcement in July of 2022.

During his tenure as SRO for GFHS, Reeves could be seen daily in the hallways interacting with students, having lunch with them, at their assemblies and sporting events and occasionally making popcorn for all the GFHS students. Reeves had a special place for “hard to reach students” and made it his mission to guide those students on the right path and see them graduate. Reeves dedicated his law enforcement career to caring for others and was a source of inspiration and hope for many students. This scholarship is specifically geared toward students who are pursuing education in the field of Criminal Justice.

Requirements:
1. Must be a GFH graduating senior.
