Sallie Hollecker Linnell Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Wayne E. Linnell and his daughter Rhonda Linnell Moore in memory of their beloved wife and mother Sallie. Sallie passed at the age of 77 in 2012. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1953 and the University of Montana in 1957 with a BA in Elementary Education. She and her husband Wayne moved to Great Falls after college to raise their three children, all of whom graduated from C. M. Russell High School. Sallie Linnell taught at Largent Elementary for a brief period of time for Great Falls Public Schools and always valued the importance of a quality education.
This $2,500 scholarship is renewable for two years and will be awarded to a Great Falls High student who has demonstrated a commitment to community service and extracurricular school activities as well as involvement in a faith-based community. Student may enroll in any area of study at a two-year or four-year college or university, in state or out of state.
Scholarship Requirements:
1. Must be a senior at Great Falls High School.
2. Must demonstrate financial need through a written essay.
3. Must demonstrate a commitment to community service and extracurricular school activities.
4. Must demonstrate involvement in a faith-based community.
5. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
