Dustin Aaron Parker Memorial Scholarship

Dustin was born in Great Falls on April 11, 1977. He attended Longfellow and Meadowlark grade schools, Paris Gibson Middle School and C.M. Russell High. He was a Junior at the University of Montana in Missoula at the time of his tragic death due to an auto accident on January 8, 1999. Prior to his death he was pursuing a degree in Business and Finance.

This scholarship originated as a goodwill gesture by C.M.R. Journalism teacher, Katie Meiers and Dustin’s fellow journalism students. The initial donation was provided from student earned funds and was later expanded by the Parker family.

Dustin excelled at Tennis, lettering his junior and senior years of high school. He was a great skier on water and snow and always looked forward to the opening of Showdown every winter. He was a good student and a loyal friend.

Dustin was survived by his parents Mike & Susan Parker of Great Falls and his brother Scott of Mount Vernon, Washington.

Scholarship Requirements:
1. Must attend Great Falls High School, C.M. Russell High School or Paris Gibson Alternative High School
2. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
3. Must be pursuing ‘non-traditional’ postsecondary education such as certifications and trades, vocational or tech schooling
